The Kingston Freeport Terminal Limited (KFTL) has unveiled its latest addition to Jamaica’s maritime infrastructure — a new generation of super post-Panamax cranes designed to enhance efficiency, capacity, and sustainability at the island’s largest transshipment hub.
Standing 52 metres tall with a 60-metre boom outreach, the newly commissioned cranes represent a major step forward in Kingston’s bid to become one of the Caribbean’s leading container handling ports. The announcement, made by the Shipping Association of Jamaica, underscores the country’s continued investment in smart port automation and advanced logistics solutions.
