MV Svend is equipped with two 250-ton cranes that can operate in tandem for a total lifting capacity of 500 tons. The vessel also features improved fuel efficiency, high intake volume, and enhanced cargo carrying capability.
The ship is named in honor of Svend Andersen, a shipping figure recognized for his long-standing contributions to the maritime industry. According to the company, the naming acknowledges his career and influence within the sector.
With the addition of MV Svend, SAL continues to expand its fleet capacity to meet the demands of global multipurpose and heavy-lift shipping.
