Egypt Secures $340 Million in New Oil & Gas Exploration Agreements

Egypt’s state-run company EGAS has inked four international deals totaling over $340 million to develop ten new oil and gas wells in the Mediterranean and Nile Delta.

Egypt has concluded four international exploration agreements exceeding $340 million through its state entity EGAS. These involve drilling ten wells across the Mediterranean and Nile Delta. Shell will drill three wells offshore Merneith with $120 million; Eni commits $100 million for three wells at East Port Said; Arcius Energy (BP‑ADNOC JV) will drill three wells near North Damietta under a $109 million deal; and Russia’s Zarubezhneft is set to drill four onshore wells in North El‑Khatatba for $14 million.
