Hanjin Shipping receives 10,000TEU class containership
Hanjin Shipping reported today that it received a 10,000TEU class containership.
Named “Hanjin Netherlands”, this new vessel is the second of the series of five 10,000TEU class ships ordered at Samsung Heavy Industries.
According to Hanjin Shipping, “Hanjin Netherlands” will be deployed in Asia-Europe trade soon after the delivery, sometime in the beginning of April.
Attending the naming ceremony, Young Min Kim, President& CEO of Hanjin Shipping, commented, “We are convinced that investing in various sizes of vessels is necessary in the long-run.” He added, “Also, we believe these ships of eco-friendly and fuel-efficient design will eventually enhance the competency of the entire shipping industry”.
Meanwhile, the rest of the series are scheduled to be delivered during this year.
