Aker Solutions wins drilling equipment contract

Aker Solutions has won a contract to supply a complete drilling equipment package for a new deepwater drillship. The contract value is approximately USD 100 million.
The contract also includes options for a further two complete drilling packages, which can be activated at the client's request. The client name is undisclosed.

This is in line with our communicated strategy to be the preferred partner for deepwater drilling solutions, and further evidence of our strong position in the deepwater market, which we believe is set for significant growth in the coming market cycle," says Thor Arne Håverstad, head of Aker Solutions' drilling business.
