Spill feared from ship grounded in India
SALVORS are attempting to prevent an oil spill from a box ship that grounded in the Kolkata channel.
The 916teu Tiger Spring collided with the 1,016teu box ship Green Valley in the Hooghly River in West Bengal on 23 November. It later grounded channel and has since obstructed shipping traffic through the waterway.
