Order value hits peak

The combined newbuilding order value for the full month of February came to $10.1bn, making record highs since September 2008 when it hit $11bn.
Korea's Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering was awarded 10 boxships of 18,000 TEU from AP Moller Maersk, and Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries won six boxships of 8,800 TEU.
