NYK and CMA CGM join in Euro-NW India, Pakistan, Mideast loop



NYK Line will augment CMA CGM's Europe Pakistan India Consortium Service (EPIC) between Europe and northwest India, Pakistan and the Middle East starting in April.

The service will commence with the westbound sailing of the 5,714-TEU OOCL San Francisco, which is expected to arrive at Jebel Ali on April 3. The eastbound sailing will be undertaken by the OOCL San Francisco to depart Southampton May 1.

The port rotation for EPIC, which takes 56 days to make a round trip, is Jebel Ali, Port Qasim, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Jeddah, Port Said, Malta, Tangier, Southampton, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Khor Fakkan and back to Jebel Ali.

The company said in a statement that its participation in the EPIC service will enable the carrier to offer a second weekly service from Europe to the Middle East as well as a fixed-day weekly westbound service from Port Qasim, Nhava Sheva and Mundra to northern Europe (Southampton, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre).
