Iran to build new destroyer

Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari says the Islamic Republic is building a new model of the Jamaran destroyer dubbed Velayat.

“Iran's Navy has become self-sufficient in surface and undersurface vessels and aerial units, and does not need other countries,” Sayyari said on the sidelines of a military parade held on the occasion of the National Army Day on Monday.
