Total Studies Polish Shale in ‘Baby Steps’ to Gain Gas Assets
Total SA, Europe’s third-largest oil company, is studying the possibility of searching for shale gas in Poland to gain access to a potential 3 trillion cubic meters in fuel resources in the eastern European country.
“It’s a very interesting” area, Martin Deffontaines, director of strategy and business development for exploration and production at Total, said today in an interview in Paris. “There are reasons why companies are investing there.”
