Pipeline in Alaska to Restart Soon
The company that runs the Trans Alaska Pipeline System, which has been struggling for the last week with a leak at the Prudhoe Bay intake station, said operations would resume by late Sunday or early Monday.
Installation of a bypass line is expected to be completed Sunday evening, after which oil flow will be restarted through the 800-mile pipeline, said Stefani Bell, a spokeswoman for Alyeska Pipeline Service Company, the pipeline operator .
