Offshore oil workers evacuated from North Sea platform



Nearly 40 oil workers have been taken off a North Sea platform.
Two helicopters evacuated 38 non-essential staff from the North Everest platform following a gas leak – which is now under investigation by the UK Government’s Health and Safety Executive.
Production has been halted while the cause of the incident, which happened on Tuesday afternoon, is investigated.
