ONGC in market for India platforms



Tenders out for five unmanned WHPs at WO 16 and Cluster 7

India’s Oil & Natural Gas ­Corporation (ONGC) has issued two tenders seeking contractors to build five unmanned ­wellhead platforms each for the WO 16 and Cluster 7 marginal field developments.

The tenders cover survey, ­design, engineering, procurement, fabrication and commissioning of the platforms, which will be ­installed off India’s west coast.

Italian offshore contractor Saipem is the front runner among shortlisted contenders looking to snag the subsea engineering, ­procurement, construction and installation contract for Husky Energy’s Liwan 3-1 gas field in the South China Sea.
