Wagenborg Receives MV Fraserborg




On March 25th, Shipyard Ferus Smit delivered her building-number 394 to Royal Wagenborg. The ship, trading under the name Fraserborg, is the fourth in a series of six ice-class 1A, nozzle equipped, 14.600 ton vessels the yard is building for Wagenborg. The first ship of this series is the MV Beatrix, christened by HM Queen Beatrix on August 24th 2009, followed by the Flevoborg on March 11th 2010 and Fivelborg on September 9th last year.

Width:                        17.20 meter
Containercapacity:     475 TEU of which 191 on deck
Main engine:               4500 kW Wärtsilä 9L32C

Whilst the Fraserborg is about to leave the yard, the first sections of the Finnborg have been placed on the slipway

Assisted by the Wagenborgtugs Watergeus, Waterstraat and Waterpoort the Fraserborg left the yard, March 21st
