Japan starts Q1 2011 SBQ plates export talk with S Korea



TEX reported that some Japanese integrated steelmakers started negotiations at the end of last week on their export deals of ship plates with South Korea's major shipbuilding companies for shipments in the January to March quarter of 2011. The contents of offered terms are unknown, but the Japanese steelmakers are thought to have offered a price increase of USD 50 to USD 100 per tonne.
