Rockhopper to Drill Next Falklands Well in January at Sea Lion

Rockhopper Exploration Plc, the only oil explorer to make a potentially commercial discovery in the Falkland Islands, said it will drill another well in the Sea Lion prospect next month.
Rockhopper will spud an exploration well in the northern lobe in January using the Ocean Guardian rig that in May produced the biggest find in the South American islands so far, on the southern lobe of the Sea Lion prospect. It also has a rig contract for a well on the southern side, the Salisbury, England-based company said in a statement today.
